KitchenAid blender parts: How to Use a KitchenAid Hand Blender

Author: Date:2011-12-13 23:40:15

Some cooks enjoy using a variety of gadgets in the kitchen when preparing their favorite recipes. While some gadgets may prove more useful than others may, an immersion blender can simplify the cooking process by blending some foods almost effortlessly. Use a KitchenAid hand blender to mix soups, sauces and desserts without the need for pouring the ingredients into a standard blender. In this way, an immersion blender can save you time and effort because there is less mess.

1. Wash the immersion blender before using it for the first time by wiping down the blender unit and the attachments with a moist dish cloth. Dry the blender with a dish towel.

2. Select the attachment you desire to use. Choose between a blending attachment, whisking attachment (with adapter) and a blender blade (with adapter).

3. Insert the attachment of your choice (or the adapter) into the blender unit, pushing it in until you feel it lock into place. If you are inserting an adapter, insert the blender blade or the whisk into the adapter after inserting the adapter into the blender.

4. Plug the blender into an electrical outlet and set the speed you wish to use for the blender.

5. Immerse the attachment of the blender into the liquids you wish to blend and turn on the blender. Gradually increase the blender speed, if you wish. Do not submerge the attachment blade past the point where the attachment connects to the blender.

6. Turn the blender off when you finish and pull the blender out of the liquid.

7. Unplug the blender and remove the attachment by pressing the ejector buttons on the blender jar base.

8. Wipe down the blender parts base and the adapters with a moist dish cloth. Do not submerge the blender base or the adapters in water. Wash the attachments in soapy water or in the top rack of a dishwasher.
